What they'll learn

Skills they'll use for the rest of their lives.

Chef David's goal is to empower kids to cook like the chefs they see on TV, using the same commercial-kitchen techniques he learned as a teenager himself.

Summer camps

See you next summer.

Summer 2026 ran three-day camps in Hollister and a five-week series in Los Banos at the Merced County Spring Fairgrounds, with Italian, French and Asian days plus a baking and pastry week. Summer 2027 dates are coming. Join the news list at the bottom of the page to hear first.

For parents

The details.

No. Camp starts with the basics, like how to hold a knife safely, and builds from there. Kids who already cook will still learn plenty.

Comfortable clothes they don't mind getting messy, closed-toe shoes, and long hair tied back.

Yes. Students dine on their own creations at the end of each day.

Let Chef David know on the sign-up form or by text before camp so he can plan around them. Our kitchen also handles nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, fish and shellfish, so we can't promise a completely allergen-free kitchen.

After Chef David confirms your spot, pay by Zelle (dmjamrock@gmail.com) or Venmo (@David-Jamrock). Gift certificates work for teen camps too.
